4- Transfer the short ribs, onion, and garlic to a slow cooker. Add beef broth, red wine (if using), tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, paprika, and bay leaves. Stir to combine.
5- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours, or until the short ribs are tender and falling off the bone.
6- Remove the bay leaves, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve the short ribs with the sauce over mashed potatoes or your favorite side dish.
