Ingredients:

  • 3 lb roast (beef or pork), such as chuck roast
  • 1 packet dry Italian salad dressing mix
  • 1 packet dry ranch salad dressing mix
  • 1 packet dry brown gravy mix
  • 1 cup water

Instructions:

  1. Preparing the Roast:
    • If you prefer a deeper flavor and a more textured exterior, begin by browning the roast in a pan over medium-high heat. This step is optional but highly recommended as it helps to seal in the juices and adds a delightful crust to the meat.
    • Once browned, transfer the roast to your crock pot.
  2. Mixing the Seasonings:
    • In a medium-sized bowl, combine the water with the Italian salad dressing mix, ranch salad dressing mix, and brown gravy mix. Stir until all the mixes are thoroughly blended. This mixture will create a flavorful sauce that infuses the roast with incredible taste.
