Easy Breakfast Sausage Casserole Recipe

Ingredients:

1 pound breakfast sausage (any kind you prefer)
1 medium onion, chopped
1 bell pepper, chopped (optional)
6 large eggs
2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a blend)
2 cups milk (whole or 2% works best)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon dried thyme (optional)
6 slices of bread (white or whole wheat), cubed
1 tablespoon olive oil or butter (for greasing the pan)
Instructions:

Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with olive oil or butter.

Cook the sausage: In a large skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat, breaking it up as it cooks. Once fully browned (about 5-7 minutes), drain any excess grease and set aside.
