Ingredients:
- 5 cloves of garlic
- 1 tablespoon of cloves
- 1/2 cup of olive oil (or any carrier oil like coconut oil)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Garlic and Cloves: Peel the garlic cloves and crush them slightly to release their natural oils. If using whole cloves, slightly crush them as well.
- Heat the Oil: In a small saucepan, heat the olive oil over low heat. Add the crushed garlic and cloves to the oil.
- Infuse the Oil: Let the mixture simmer on low heat for about 10-15 minutes. Ensure the oil doesn’t get too hot as this can destroy the beneficial properties of the garlic and cloves.
- Cool and Strain: Remove the saucepan from heat and let the oil cool. Strain the oil through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a clean glass jar, discarding the garlic and cloves.
- Store the Oil: Store the infused oil in a cool, dark place. It can be kept for up to two weeks.
How to Use Garlic and Clove Oil
- Apply to Affected Areas: Using your hands, gently massage the garlic and clove oil onto the areas affected by pain, such as the legs, knees, or joints. Use circular motions to improve circulation and ensure the oil is absorbed.
- Leave Overnight: For best results, apply the oil in the evening and leave it on overnight. You can cover the area with a soft cloth or bandage to keep the oil from rubbing off on your bedding.
