Step 1: Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F.
Spray an 8″ x 8″ x 2″ glass or ceramic dish with nonstick spray (I used a 7″ x 9″ x 2″ ceramic dish).
Step 2: Prepare the Apple Filling
In a bowl, mix the diced apple cubes.
Add sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, and nutmeg to coat the apples evenly.
Step 3: Prepare the Cinnamon Rolls
Cut the cinnamon rolls into 1/2-inch strips.
Roll them out on a floured work surface until they are fluffy.
Sprinkle with flour to prevent sticking.
Step 4: Assemble the Layers
Arrange the first layer of flattened cinnamon rolls on the bottom and sides of the dish. Press them to seal well.
Spread half of the prepared apple filling over the cinnamon roll layer.
Drizzle 2-3 tablespoons of caramel sauce on top of the apples.
Cover with another layer of cinnamon rolls.
Repeat the process with the remaining apples and caramel sauce.
Finally, cover with the remaining flattened cinnamon rolls.
Step 5: Bake to Perfection
Cover the dish with aluminum foil.
Bake for 30 minutes.
Remove the aluminum foil and bake for another 10-15 minutes until the top is golden brown.
Step 6: Serve and Enjoy
Allow the Apple Cinnamon Lasagna Roll to cool for at least 30 minutes.
Drizzle with the icing that comes with the cinnamon rolls.
Serve and savor the heavenly flavors.
