Festive Cake for Children: A Magical and Colorful Creation!

The filling/icing:
4 egg yolks
1 small can of cream
2 small cans sweetened condensed milk
1 liter milk
5 tablespoons cornstarch
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
Colored sprinkles for decoration, to taste
Preparation:
For the cake:
In a mixer, place the eggs, sugar and salt, and beat for 2 minutes until smooth.
Add the wheat flour, oil and milk, and mix quickly at the lowest speed of the mixer to incorporate.
Add the colored pearls and baking powder, and mix gently with a spoon to incorporate.

Pour into a round mold (25 cm in diameter) buttered and floured.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 45 minutes.
Remove from the oven, let cool, unmold and divide the cake into 3 equal halves. Set aside.
the syrup:
In a bowl, mix the milk and sugar. Set aside.
For the filling / icing:
In a saucepan, mix the sweetened condensed milk and cornstarch, and mix well to dissolve completely.
Add the egg yolks, milk and heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until boiling and thickened.
Cook for another minute, then remove from the heat.
Add the cream and mix to incorporate.
Transfer to a bowl, cover with plastic wrap and leave to cool.
Divide into 3 equal parts and place in 3 containers
(for the 2 fillings and the icing, so as to have the same quantity for all the layers).
Assembly:
Line the pan used to bake the cake with plastic wrap, leaving some edges hanging over.
Place half of the dough in the pan, baste with the syrup and add some of the filling.
Cover with another half of the dough, baste again, then add the filling.
Finally, place the third half of the dough and sprinkle with the syrup.
Wrap with the edges of the plastic wrap, closing them well, and refrigerate for 2 hours.
Add the butter or margarine to the rest of the filling (icing), and beat with the mixer for 1 minute.
Remove the mold from the refrigerator, unmold the cake, remove the plastic wrap and cover the entire surface with the icing,
smoothing well so that it is uniform.
Decorate with colored granules, according to your preference, and refrigerate or serve immediately.
