Hot water (approx. 2-3 liters)
Optional:
Lemon juice to neutralize the
vinegar smell
Drain preparation:
Make sure the drain is reasonably dry. You can dry it with a paper towel or let it dry for a few minutes.
Add baking soda:
Pour a cup of baking soda directly down the drain.
Add vinegar:
Slowly pour a cup of vinegar down the drain. The chemical reaction between the soda and vinegar creates intense fizzing, dissolving any remaining contaminants.
Wait:
Let the mixture work for 15 to 30 minutes so that it can work well on deposits and dirt.
Flush with water:
After the time has elapsed, slowly pour hot water down the drain. Ensure the water flows freely.
Optional:
If you want to get rid of the vinegar smell, you can squeeze the juice of half a lemon down the drain and flush again.
