Growing avocados at home is easy and affordable for everyone. We start with a large seed inside the fruit and, with the help of stakes, we can grow a small tree that, with luck, may bear fruit in the future. Below, we’ll explain how to do it.
Just give us an avocado , from which we’ll remove the large central seed. Once it’s well washed, we’ll place three or four cross-shaped stakes, as shown in the photo. The idea is to place it in the jar without completely submerging it.
The avocado seed should be placed in a glass filled with water and placed in a bright corner of the house. You should wait until the roots develop, which usually takes two to four weeks (depending on light and temperature). The roots should reach a length of 10 centimeters.
Once you’ve reached this length, remove the stakes and water, and replant the avocado in a pot with universal soil. It will take about a month for the first leaves to develop.
