1. Prepare the green beans by washing them under cold running water. Snip off both ends and cut the beans in half.
2. Add all ingredients into a 5- or 6-quart slow cooker.
Start with the wet ingredients: chicken broth and water.
Then move to dry ingredients.
Mix.
3. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours. If you’re in a rush, you can cook them on high for 2 to 3 hours.
4. Serve with a slotted spoon to prevent too much liquid from pooling on the plate.
