Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
In a large mixing bowl, beat the eggs on high speed until foamy.
Add the flour, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Beat until well blended.
Blend in the softened butter.
Stir in the chocolate chips and nuts, if using.
Spoon the mixture into your unbaked pie crust.
Bake for 55 to 60 minutes or until a knife inserted halfway between the edge and center comes out clean. (If necessary, cover the edges with foil during the last 15 minutes to prevent overbrowning.)
Cool on a wire rack. Serve warm with ice cream or topping of your choice.
Variations & Tips
You can switch up the mix-ins based on your preference or what you have on hand. Try using white chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, or even a mix of different types of chocolate. For a more festive touch, add in some M&Ms or seasonal sprinkles. If you’re not a fan of nuts, feel free to leave them out or substitute with shredded coconut or dried fruit. Also, to make this recipe a bit more indulgent, try drizzling some melted chocolate or caramel sauce over the cooled pie for an extra layer of flavor.
