Mix sugar and cocoa in a saucepan.
Add butter and evaporated milk to the saucepan.
Stir continuously until the mixture starts boiling.
Boil for 7 minutes, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat and add vanilla.
Stir continuously for 3 minutes.
Pour into a buttered baking dish to set.
