Rising Time and Preparation
- Grease a cup with vegetable oil and place the dough inside.
- Cover the cup and set it aside in a warm place to rise for 45-50 minutes, until the dough has doubled in size.
- Once risen, release any accumulated gases from the dough and divide it into 4 equal parts.
- Cover the dough portions and let them rest for an additional 20 minutes.
Shaping the Bread
- Roll out each portion of dough to the desired size and thickness.
- Place the rolled-out dough onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
- Use a sushi stick to make a few holes in each piece of dough, then fill the holes with small pieces of hard cheese.
Adding the Final Touches
- In a small bowl, whisk together 1 egg and 2 teaspoons of milk.
- Brush the surface of the dough with the egg mixture to give it a beautiful golden finish.
Baking
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (356°F) and bake the bread for 25-30 minutes, or until it’s golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
