2 ¼ cups water
1 cup light brown sugar
3/4 cup molasses
2 tsp ground ginger
1 tbsp cinnamon
1¼ cups whole milk
2 tsp baking soda
3/4 cup butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
Instructions:
1. Microwave brown sugar, molasses, and butter until melted, then let it cool.
2. Whisk eggs into this mixture. Sift flour and spices into the mixture and stir.
3. Heat milk, mix in baking soda, and whisk into the mixture.
4. Pour batter into greased slow cooker. Heat butter, brown sugar, and water until melted, then pour over the batter.
5. Cover and cook on high for 2 hours.
Remove and let cool to set.
