Stress:
If you’ve just purchased an herbaceous plant or its environment has changed drastically, the plant may suffer. In such cases, this is a natural process; after a few days of adjustment, the plant will heal itself.
Water:
When watering an herbaceous plant, it’s important to find the right balance. Too much or too little water can be harmful to its health. For this reason, it’s important to choose well-drained soil and only water when you notice that the soil is completely dry.
Fluoride:
This is a common component of tap water and is not suitable for herbaceous plants. Therefore, use distilled water for watering.
Temperature:
Herbaceous plants are very adaptable houseplants whose ideal temperature is between 20 and 30 degrees Celsius. When temperatures rise, for example in summer, the leaves of the herbaceous plant begin to dry out. In these cases, place the plant in a bright location, but out of direct sunlight. Additionally, spray the leaves regularly with water to keep them hydrated.
Fertilizer:
Fertilizers are beneficial for plants because they provide essential nutrients. However, large doses aren’t necessary for spider plants: Use organic and natural fertilizers, preferably every three months.
