- Cook bacon: Place the bacon in a large stockpot and cook over medium-high heat until crispy, about 10 minutes.
- Add onion and garlic: Remove the bacon and set aside. Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the stockpot. Cook and stir until the onion caramelizes, about 10 minutes.
- Add cabbage: Stir in the sliced cabbage and continue to cook and stir for another 10 minutes.
- Season: Season with salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Simmer: Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer, stirring occasionally, for about 30 minutes more, or until the cabbage is tender.
