🍏✨ Tarte Tatin – A Classic French Upside-Down Caramelized Apple Tart That’s Sweet, Buttery, and Simply Irresistible! 🍰🍏
🛒 Ingredients:
6-8 medium apples (preferably tart apples like Granny Smith) 🍏
1/2 cup unsalted butter 🧈
3/4 cup granulated sugar 🍬
1 tsp vanilla extract 🌿
1 sheet puff pastry (store-bought or homemade) 🍥
A pinch of salt 🧂
🍴 Step-by-Step Instructions:
1️⃣ Prepare the Apples:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Peel, core, and slice the apples into quarters or eighths, depending on their size. Set them aside.
2️⃣ Make the Caramel:
In a 9-inch oven-safe skillet or a Tarte Tatin dish, melt the butter over medium heat until it’s fully melted and begins to bubble.
Add the granulated sugar to the skillet and stir occasionally. Allow it to melt and turn into a golden caramel, about 5-7 minutes. Be careful not to burn it.
Once the caramel is golden and smooth, remove the skillet from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.
