🥖 Easy homemade bread recipe (5 rolls)
Basic ingredients:
250 g flour (T55 or T65, depending on your preferences)
6 g dry yeast (or 12 g fresh yeast)
4 g salt
30 g butter or margarine
100 ml warm milk
50 ml warm water
For the glaze:
1 egg yolk
5 g milk
📖 Detailed preparation:
Mixing the ingredients:
In a large bowl, combine the flour, yeast and salt. Add the butter, warm milk and water. Mix until you get a smooth dough.
Kneading:
Knead the dough for 10 minutes by hand or 5 minutes in a stand mixer until it becomes soft and elastic. This helps develop the gluten for a soft texture.
First proof:
Shape into a ball, place in a lightly oiled bowl and cover with a clean tea towel. Leave to rise in a warm place for 90 minutes. The dough should double in size.
Shaping:
Knock out the air from the dough (gently push to remove air) and divide into 5 equal portions. Roll each piece into a rectangle, then roll them up to form buns. Pinch the edges to seal.
Second proof:
Place the buns on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, cover with a tea towel and leave to rest for an additional 30 minutes.
Finishing and baking:
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Make incisions on the top of the buns using a sharp knife. Mix the egg yolk and milk, then brush each bun for a nice golden crust. Bake for 20 to 30 minutes, until golden brown.
Tasting:
Let cool slightly before tasting. Enjoy with butter, jam, or use them to accompany your meals!
