How to make dull faucets look like new again

Cleaning your faucet is not only essential for proper functioning, but also a matter of aesthetics. Over time, the buildup of limescale and minerals can cause the faucet to become dull and full of white spots.

Although there are many chemical products available for cleaning the faucet, you should resort to natural solutions that are safe for our health and the environment and at the same time are able to disinfect a dull faucet and make it shine again.

For the first tip on how to clean a dull faucet, we suggest that all you need is some flour and a clean cloth.

Wipe the faucet with a dry cloth to remove surface dirt, then dust the entire surface with flour and let it sit for 10 minutes.

Finally, wipe thoroughly with another dry cloth until all traces of limescale are removed. Your faucet will be clean and shiny.

The second tip is perhaps the most well-known and involves rubbing a halved lemon directly onto the metal part of the faucet.

Lemon is not only a good disinfectant but also very effective against limescale. When you’re finished, rinse the faucet with lukewarm water and dry it thoroughly with a clean cloth.
